M. L. Shettle, Jr.'s latest book covers the detailed history of all 22 United States Army Air Force installations located in the State of Georgia during World War II. Practically every type of Air Force aviation activity took place at these bases and included: primary, basic, advanced, and navigation training; fighter, bomber, liaison, and transport operations, maintenance depot activity; and aircraft manufacturing.
